About Lynch syndrome
Lynch syndrome, also known as inherited mismatch repair (MMR) deficiency, is a hereditary genetic condition that increases an individual’s susceptibility to various types of cancer.
Academic research
The history of international Lynch syndrome research can be traced back to 1895 and the discovery of a family cancer syndrome. Today, Lynch syndrome research is still being actively carried out worldwide to gain a deeper understanding of its molecular mechanism. DiagMMR, Lynsight’s novel test that reliably detects MMR deficiency, is based on 20+ years of academic research at the University of Helsinki.
